Blank Space
A curated event space with private offices and a public calendar — a flexible room in West Asheville for the things a neighborhood does together.
A blank room is an invitation.
Blank Space started with a simple observation: West Asheville had plenty of energy and not enough rooms to hold it. Weddings, workshops, launches, and Tuesday-night meetups were all competing for the same handful of venues.
So we took a building, stripped it back, and made it easy to use. Move-in-ready private offices during the week, an open, bookable event space on nights and weekends, and a public calendar that keeps the room busy.
The point isn't the space itself — it's what people do in it. We keep it plain and well-run so the events can be the interesting part.
Keep the room flexible, keep it full.
We'd rather run one honest, hard-working space well than chase a dozen half-used ones.
One room, many uses
Offices by day, events by night. A single space that earns its keep across the whole week instead of sitting dark.
A real calendar
A public schedule of classes, markets, and gatherings keeps the doors open to the neighborhood, not just private bookings.
Run it ourselves
We manage the bookings, the setup, and the upkeep in-house, so quality stays consistent and the phone gets answered.
